About & methodology

KeyboardLookup is a spec database and comparison tool for digital keyboards — digital pianos, arranger keyboards, workstations, synthesizers and MIDI controllers. It currently covers 228 models.

Where specs come from

Specifications are collected from official manufacturer documentation and product pages, then verified field by field. Prices are indicative launch MSRP (US).

How comparisons work

Comparison pages are generated from the database: the table shows the union of both spec sheets with differences highlighted. The “which to buy” bullets are derived only from the data shown — no marketing copy.

How we score

Each model carries an editorial KeyboardLookup score (0–10): how strong a choice it is today for its intended use — new pricing for current models, the used market for discontinued ones. The score weighs key action, polyphony and the feature set against same-category peers of the same era, with the launch MSRP as context. It is our editorial judgement, stated plainly, not a user rating.

Corrections

Found a wrong spec? Every model page has a “Suggest a correction” form — propose a fix, add a source link if you have one, and it goes straight to the editorial queue.
